Motion Accomplished:
A New Era in Chronic Stroke Recovery
Kandu, Inc. is pioneering an integrated approach to post-stroke recovery, combining FDA-cleared brain-computer interface therapy with care models designed to extend rehabilitation beyond the hospital. The IpsiHand® System is the first and only FDA-cleared BCI therapy for upper-extremity rehabilitation after stroke. Kandu’s solutions support improved mobility and continuity of care while delivering meaningful value for patients and providers.
Results that Matter
Results from At-Home BCI Rehabilitation Therapy for Chronic Upper Extremity Deficit After Stroke (BCI-REHAB): A Randomized Trial show that IpsiHand achieved a number needed to treat (NNT) of 2.2 in order for 1 additional patient to achieve clinically meaningful improvement. 55.5% of patients assigned to IpsiHand achieved MCID within the first 12 weeks of therapy, compared to 9.6% of patients assigned to a Home Exercise Program.
Innovation Session: Neuromodulation for Stroke Recovery
Saturday, October 31 | 8:00am–12:00pm | Room 207A
Neuromodulatory options for stroke patients have grown substantially over the past several years, creating an opportunity to serve patients who previously had no options. This session explores how these approaches intersect cerebrovascular and functional neurosurgery, and how they can be incorporated into practice. Stop by Booth #336 after the session to see IpsiHand live.
